    Hello

Sorry you are experiencing delays with the emails, I'm wondering if it has to do with the hurricanes.

If you are still experiencing late or no emails can you please post the State and Facility so I can turn in a Report for you, to try and help you all out

I read there are no emails processed by the facilities over the weekend (Saturday and Sundays) so if you send one on Friday they may not receive it till Monday

That happened to me yesterday. It took about 9 to 10 hours to show up in the sent messages. When it usually shows in 10 to 15 mintutes. And it took just about 8 hours to receive a message that was to me. I'm not sure what's going on with the system.

there's always been a couple days lag here in Tennessee, but now it's doing something odd - I sent an email, got a confirmation number, it took the stamps, but it's not showing up in the sent email list. That was yesterday. I figured maybe I forgot to click send? So I tried sending it again, it definitely took stamps and gave me a confirmation number, which I took a screenshot of, but again isn't showing up in the sent email list.....???

I know that they were doing maintenance this morning as I got a notice while trying to send an email. So has anyone else been getting emails out of order again? Sure wish there was a way to tell if they have received the email sent. An awful lot of worry on both sides going on...

So last reply received was on Monday.... I have continued to email every day with prepaid response. But no way to tell if he is receiving them and/or sending any replies. No answer from JPay I raised this as a technical issue and have also raised it by email today. Hopefully someone can look into what is wrong.

The email I sent on Thursday arrived Monday and yet one I sent Sunday arrived the same day. What is going on???

A status of the email sent would be helpful to take the fruatration out of not knowing if it had been cleared.

    Example Status updates:
    • Sent but queued for review.
    • Sent but being reviewed
    • Delivered to Inmate
    • Read by Inmate.
    • Cancelled - Content Issue Reason: 26 see FAQ
    • Delayed System Issue

Likewise the same in reverse for the inmate.

This feature would help lower anxiety for both inmates and loved ones on the outside. And give reasons for delays or emails not going through. It would help you know if something important has not been seen so you can include it in another letter.

Was there more delays at the weekend??? I sent emails Sat Sun Mon and got an email on Sunday asking how I was cos they hadnt heard from me... We email back and forth daily all week but i received a reply sent on Thursday before the reply sent on Wednesday. So the emails were coming through in random order. And since Friday seems my emails not been going through. Hopefully JPay can resolve this. Been using this service 3 weekends and thats 2 in 3 the emails hagve had issues.

It's all good. All the emails got through on Monday throughout the day and the responses arrived back Tuesday morning.

Still no response. I emailed Saturday, Sunday and twice on Monday. Last reply I had was from Saturday at 5:15pm... I suppose there must be big queues at the kiosk's. A blockage once released causes a flood of letters which takes time to process, then for those inside to reply then process and come back to our inbox. I am frustrated but I am more frustrated for those serving time, I feel sorry for them as reliability, routine and contact are extremely important to those serving time. Jpay should consider when a technical error occours; to issue some goodwill to prisoners and their families affected. Such as crediting them all a stamp or two? I think it would be nice gesture.

I just got a notification on the App:

"Valued Customer, We are aware that some of you may have experienced delays in our email service over the past number of days. This was caused by exceptionally high volume of emails coupled with a technical issue. This issue has now been resolved and emails flowing normally. Thank you for your patience, and thank you for using JPay!"

Ive been emailing back and fourth every 12 hours and then everything stopped on Saturday . Hopefully the 4 emails I sent will arrive together or lots of stamps will be wasted.

The longest my friend has waited has been 7 days, the shortest a matter of hours. I also find that the beginning of the week messages Mondays/Tuesdays take far longer to reach then those closer to the weekend. Ot also depends what all happen with him, whether he's in the hole or had his tablet confiscated for a short spell etc. I am pretty sure they have some form of search engine that looks for keywords in texts that flag up the message to CO's so they are not wasting a magnitude of time reading mail coming in.

does anyone know if there is a way to buy only one stamp? I don't have enough on my card to buy a package right now, and my hubby wrote me but I don't have any stamps.

I have experienced delays in the past and as of late sometimes she's (my fianc้) is either on lockdown, seg or I can type very long messages on jpay and I learned early on I have to use the prepaid option. and having to transfer stamps to her. jpay is more immediate than snail mail. I haven't heard from her in over a week and she damaged property belonging to cellmate. I have to send to pay that off and she's out of seg.
