can a inmate get married in jail

Each state is different. It can be done in most prisons except, I think, Colorado for those who met while in prison. Look up his prison on the internet or call the prison. You might post this in the state you are in on this forum. Good luck finding the info you seek!
OOOPs I see you are in Penn. Is he in prison in this state?

Thanks I have a lil info now they told me we can but I have to get evathing done down Somerset pa smh n I live all the way in philly guess I have to do it around income tax time lol

I got married in Tx, but I looked at their web site and called to see what info they needed and what the state or county itself needed. But the make sure you have everything in order and all your information before getting goingto any office.

its hard in pa because pa wants both parties present when requesting a marriage certificate. i have heard of it being done but i think the people had to jump through some hoops so it may just be best to wait for them to come home.
