New at this whole thing,

hey there to all,
i was just goin through n reading your stories. the crazy part is for the past 11 months i have felt like nobody understood my pain n hurt. then i get on here n i feel like i relate w/so many women. well im a new mom of a 1 yr old baby girl now, she was only 3 wks old when her father got locked up. and has been in jail ever since. i hate him for missing all of her first, but then i feel so bad for my daughter cuz she doesnt really know her dad. for the past 11 months she has been visiting him through a glass window. but they sent him 2camp hill a couple of weeks ago, which is now 3 hrs away. im not sure if i really wanna make that drive for her to see him n him finally 2 get to hold her. i know she's only gonna cry cuz she dont know him. and i know hes gonna be hurt that his daughter wont want him. so if anyone has any advice as to how we go about making them have a good father/daughter relationship while hes in jail. im all ears. thanks

It is tough when you have little ones for true.. I think i would call the facility and see what you are alowed to bring for the baby to help keep her occupied and not fretful...And some times we fret over things aren't so bad..If she has seen him through the glass then she is used to seeing him it might not be that bad at all...They have vending machines buy her snacks helpp keep her settled....Good luck,I hope this helps

i plan on taking my daughter to see her dad next week at Camp Hill PA, and i was wondering am i able to pay for the pictures at the visit or do i need to send him the money n him have to buy tickets before hand or something? thanks ladies
