Default Prisonlines (phone service) ???

Has anyone used this service?

http://prisonlines.com/index-1.html

I haven't heard anything about it and I am a bit apprehensive about trying it without some feedback.

Hello, I would check with the facilities first where your loved one is at, if you have not yet. That would be the most important thing. If they tell you it is okay are ask if they have heard from it. My man is in Michigan and I am always e mailing questions to them, I think I should have a direct line I told them that last time I e mailed them. I would also check with the better business Bureau about the company. I does not hurt to cover you self on everything before you spend you money. Let me know what you find out. Because when Mark runs out of money on his phone card he will not call me collect if this is for real and works I will get it and tell him to call me. The only thing I did not like about it was saying to hook up another line????

I use correctional billing services to talk to a friend in prison, but my boyfriend just got locked up in county for 30 days and they use a different service, I cant remember what its called at the moment but each facility signs up for a certain prepaid line it sounds like. So you have to use whatever the facility is signed up with. If he calls you collect it will give you a number to call and sign up, atleast it did for me cause I couldnt even accept the call on my cell phone..

I have Vonage...they will charge you $5 a month and give you a local number to the institution. Its called a VPN (Virtual Private Number) My boyfriend pays the $1.45 per phone call the prison charges and I only pay the $5 a month. (I do put money on his books for phone calls though since it costs me so little)

I use Ear 2 Ear. They provided me a local number to where my Husband is. They charge $5.00 per month a $1.50 per call. They took my headache away and took the time to answer all of my questions. They have A++ Customer service.

I have saved thousands of $$$ since switching

Ohio has primarily Global Tel link and they are a pain. I paid my phone bills before they were due and they got their money, BUT THEY BLOCKED MY HOME PHONE AFTER 3 MONTHS. We no longer have phone contact because they want a prepaid account only...cell is in my business name and mine so they refused that one and home phone is in my name but the phone book listing is in a pseudo name since I am alone and dealt with the public and courts, so they wanted my bill, copy of DL and social security number plus a checking account number. SO WE WRITE AND USE JPAY.

I have used prison lines and it seems like a great deal...34.00 for 500 minutes but then you have to add money to the Vconnect service or whoever the prison uses and then you end up paying double for the phone calls. When you call customer service it is always 2 different guys with a echo in the backround. I cancelled my service and would not recommend them. Hope this helps.
Blessings to you.

My man told me about ear to ear and it seemed cool at first but when I tried to get someone to speak to I could never get anyone. I left many messages on there voicemail and sent many emails. I wanted to use them but I did not like the customer service I got.

Yes ear2ear are hard to get by phone but I have never had a problem with getting a hold of them via email...my experience with the customer service has always been exceptional.
