Help with another charge

My boyfriend is currently serving time from a plea agreement in Indiana Dept of Corrections. He also has another felony charge in another county that wasnt included and we are trying to get all of this taken care of before he gets out of IDOC and then has to serve a whole new time sentence. Does anyone know the steps we need to take to try to get him transfered to take care of his other cases and is this even able to be done. Any help would be great! thanks!!

You need to get the person who handels inmate records at his facility to check with the other counties and get all his time together and see if he can serve it where he is or if they can be included on the time he is serveing. sometimes you get lucky and you can get them to drop or cancel the hold in another county and they don't do that time. My fiance had several detainers listed in other counties and he is currently serveing 70% of a 35 year sentence. He will complete 11 years in feb. so they other detainers have been cancelled.

You can have him to write or you call the court that the felonies are out of and tell them he is incarcerated and they will take care of it from there..My son had a felony and i just got it lifted last week and that's what i did I gave them his name the nature of the felony his inmate number and the address of the facility he was in....They in return took the matter in front of the judge and sent paper work stating that it was no longer active..Hope this all helps

make sure he gets in contact with them WHILE HES STILL IN and requests they be ran concurrent - he will have to do this, not you. if they deny him, he will serve his time for this sentence, and then he will be discharged and serve the next time on this next one. it sucks, my husband had to do it but he was fortunate and had a good lawyer and he got out of it and was put on probation.. (but later messed up, hence why he's back in lol)
