There is no web site that it can be done for 17 dollars.....if your sister in law has power of attorney over her husband,,,its easy...she can sign his name as his attorney in fact.
As far as a prisoner divorcing his wife.....that would be very difficult.

No actually it isnt hard at all for the prisoner to divorce his wife. 2 years ago well around there my ex husband was in prison and he filed against me. it cost him 80 dollars. We didnt have anything to fight about cause we were spilt up for 3 years before that and i already had the kids. We did it our selfs and on my part it was me doing all the paper work and stuff but well worth it in the end. They might be able to get the 80 dollars waved if they can prove they dont have the money to pay.

I have lots of questions on lots of stuff. Divorce, my nephew is in prision in Michigan and is going to the law library to find out about getting a divorce from his wife. He hasn't heard from her since september and when I call she won't answer the phone any more. She is out having a good time from what her facebook page says, and is in love? He has signed Power of Attorney financial papers for my husband. What happens to his stuff that she still has? Are we able to go get it. Right now she is selling it and he has fines and fees to pay? She won't give us his stuff. If he gets a divorce can we go and get it with the POA papers? Can we or will we have to force her to give us what is left? She sold a 2500.00 motorcycle for 450.00? Been a big headache for us.

He said that someone told him it would cost him a dollar to get divorced because he is in jail? He is going to the law library to find out about it.
Someone told me that if she just doesn't give us what is left of his stuff after the divorce that we would have to bring legal procedings against her to get it? Any one know how this kind of thing works? What about everything that she is selling in the mean time? What a mess!
