westville correctional facility
hello, my son was just moved to westville correctional facility.
does any other mother's out have a son in there? and does anyone know anything about the facility? I live in sacramento ca. so i don't know anything about indaina prison's.

My husband is in Westville. Has your son been able to call? If not, you must have an account with correctional billing services to allow the collect call to go through (1800-844-6591) You must get approved on his visiting list. Download and print off a visitor form at teh Indiana DOC website (under Westville facility) make sure to fill in all boxes and spaces. It takes about a month to get approved. Once approved, your son can request to have a 2 day visit since you live so far away. He must ask for this special visit. Normally visits are every 12 days, depending on which dorm he is in.anything else just ask. My husband has been there for about 2 years now.

thank you for reading my post, my son called me last tuesday afternon
and it was throught at&t and i didn't pre-paid anything. at least he was able to call me it was so good just to hear his voice. and he ready enjoyed hearing mine. thank you about the visiting i will be in indiana in march 2010. for my little grandson first birthday. i hope that my son will be out by then. if not i will call the prison to see when i can come and visit. thank uou again and have a great day

Westvile prison mom
I'm a Westville mom also, my son went in October, I don't know much about the prison either, I'm worried about my son. I figured out how to use jpay online and send mail and money. I'm not sure how long it takes to get the cash and letter to inmates. What type of prison is it? I can't sleep at night, maybe I watched to many prison movies. I pray all day and night, is it cheaper to get a home phone and except collect calls or put money on the cells phone, thru correctional billing? I need all the information, that I can get.

Indiana Prisons
Well, Indiana prisons can be either harsh or relaxed...my oldest is in Pendleton for 32 years and it's pretty rough...my youngest is at Plainfield for 5 years, and its pretty laid back, I enjoy my visits at Plainfield much better than Pendleton..I don't know much about Westville but I wish the best for your boys.

just seen your note if you know anything of calif. prison system know that indiana's is how would you say alot easier for lack of a better word hope u can sleep easier knowing this lil bit of info I know that i am glad that the woman i love is in indiana system and not cali's or az, nev. to name a few.. he's safer and better off in indiana than alot of other places

about the j mail my girl says it has taken as long as 5 days for her to actualy get some of mine and alot of factors come into play as to why so i wont go there. as far as corr. billing had that was surprised that it was reasonably priced. but since im back home in az. not in IN. anymore the home phone way is the cheapest mine are about 3.00 half hour call
