today my bf had court to get his sentencing date extended. i thought it was just his attorney but apparently he was there too (he's always always gone to all of his court dates, even the ones he wasn't required to go to...this was probably the first one where he wasn't able to wear his suit since they thrashed it when he was taken into custody after his trial).

they were able to get the date extended by a month. so i'm assuming that's dec 30 instead of nov 30. (i can check the court calendar online when they update it later this week) he said the most he can get is between 8 - 11 years, which isn't great but it's not as bad as he thought. originally, he was saying 25 to life. then he was saying 13. if we can raise the money and find a bail bondsman who will bail him out, he has a better chance at only having to serve between 1-2 years. it's hard because the place i talked to in person, he has a balance AND we'd need a 2nd co-signer. i doubt anyone would be a 2nd co-signer. i've thought about threatening to report them to the state because they want to charge us less than the state minimum (set by state law) of 10% of the full amount of the bail and tell them they could either just write off the balance he owes and bail him out or i can report them to the state and they can lose their license. their business does seem a little shady.....not sure if i'd go to those lengths, however. (though it is tempting)

so i'm going to be doing some more leg work on this tomorrow after i get off work. and play the lotto. because our luck has GOT to turn around sometime....

i looked it up and the sentencing date as it stands is dec 22. i am going to take an hour tonight to call and see if i can find a legit place who will bail him out. we have 5 weeks from today to do this....although i wish i had someone to help me because i feel like i've been left holding the bag.

Good Luck.. It's always better if they can get out... We have a pre-trial service here, where inmates can go through this program and get released with certain conditions, while awaiting their court dates. This service doesn't require a bail bondsmen.. they are released to a member of pre-trial service.. sometimes they have to report and drop weekly and some are even put on electronic monitoring.. Call the County Jail where he is being housed and see if they have something like that there. If they do, maybe he would qualify for it.

thanks. he's already been through the trial process. he's awaiting sentencing now, which is dec 22. but maybe i'll ask anyway. it never hurts to ask.

i also learned last night that we could possibly look into an appeal bond if his attorney does go thru with the appeal (we hope he does. it's just a matter of moving forward with hit) which would allow him to be released on bail while his appeal is being fought, but after sentencing. it's a few things for us to consider right now.

it's just pretty much me and him right now taking care of things. and he can only do so much since he's inside, so i sometimes feel like it's just me.

I know that My sweet heart has been behind those WALLS already for 12 yrs. He still's got 13 yrs more to go. So we all Pray for everyone. Well I do here..I Pray for everyone on this site that hurting about there family memeber. Our Great GrandFather hears Our cry out. He's trying hard to help everyone in his way. We just have to be Patience and supportable.

dont worry I just dont want to be bother buy anyone. I need some time to heal my self from being hurt again. For one to able heal the other . you must have cleasn yourself Ramona. I'll be okay and Im not seeing or talking with my Fiance right now. SO dont worry.
