I am new here and am not sure how to do this. I am very comforted to see how everyone here supports each other. It's nice to know that someone actually understands how you feel. My husband is being transferred to High Desert. He is there because he tried to kill me. He was convicted of Attempted murder which he got 10 years for and battery and assault with a deadly weapon which he got 4 years for. He was on drugs and it was not him. He hurt me really, really bad but he is my husband and I love him to death. I can't get over him I want to be there for him, is that sick is there something wrong with me? He is not from Nevada has no family here and I can't imagine how bad and horrible he feels as well. I don't want him to go through this alone. Anyway, it's so nice to be able to release to others who are in similar situations. Thanks

Hi.. Nice to meet you. I live in las vegas which is like 45 mins away from high desert but my honey is carson city. N.e wayz....it's not wrong or sick to want to stick by someone who hurt you specially when it is your husband, but I would get him help. Just because he is doing time doesn't mean he can't get out and do it again you know. I know I don't know your guy's whole situation but if my man were to hurt me and then go to prison, I think I would stick by him but we would have alot to work out also, because of everything that has happen. You can't help who you love and who you wanna stick by. You also need to worry bout your safety too. I hope everything turns out for you two though and sticking by someone who is in prison is hard but well worth it in the long run. Usually that person in prison tends to realize who is there for them and who is not going to be there for them and by you sticking it out with him he will realize what he has. Well take cares and good luck with everything.

Thank you. I love him thats why I married him and I want to be there and hope I am doing the right thing. He wants me to visit but in order to get on the list I have to drop the protective order and I guess it won't hurt cause he can't hurt me there. He said he can only change his visitation every 6 months. Well I appreciate your response, thanks so much!!!

hello muresti, i also agree with turtleswifey we can't pick our loves ones at times but we can help them with all the power gods has for us he have to live with his mistakes in there but he will need your support, you say it was not him so he will get help while he is doing his time. we will be here for you to give support to you. think of us as your family and never feel alone.
