Default uh? new to this? advice

hello to the forum,
I am new to all this, as well as many others I am sure. I don't know what I am suppose to do, my guy is at the Guidance Center right now, then he will get sent to 1 of 2 places, Ionia Max or Marquette Max. can anyone give me advice or suggestions on what we do to help them? Oh and the phones, do they make collect calls? or do they get calling cards? can you send them packages once they are in a permanent facility? anyone know how the appeals process works, what I can do to help with that? My guy is going in for life, on circumstantial evidence, how does one deal with this? I really need a support group, someone that has been doing this for a bit and can give me suggestions and to how to deal and cope.

Really if you be patient he wants to get at you as bad as you do him. he will get in touch with you and tell you what all to do. But you can go to the website for your state and facility and get a good idea from the hand book or FAQ's. Welcome, unless you have a copy of the transcript there's not a whole lot you can do in the appeal process. You can hire a good attorney. Well my husband is doing life also we are working on his appeal, I had to pay $4000. for a copy of his transcripts but it has paid off for us. Stay on the a*ss of the attorney if it is the court appointed appellate attorney. But take a deep breath, this process will not be hurried even though it is urgent to you. Welcome to paradise! -J
