Have any of you heard anything about them changing the canteen list again? My husband said he's heard they are supposed to be revising it to supposedly lower prices and replace certain items with less expensive ones but don't know when...Has anyone else heard this? He said so far like only one item is cheaper...I hope it's true but I guess i'll believe it when it actually happens..

I talked to the canteen man in the visitation park this past weekend and he said that the canteen changes everything every six months. He said that the company they are using now is contracting out to other companies. The one they are using now is the one that raised the prices, now that company will only be delievering the products to the institutions not supplying them. Now that is what the canteen man was telling me, I dont know how true it is. I do know that they already stopped selling some of the new stuff that they put in there when this new company took over a few months ago.

Oh ok..I guess we'll just have to wait and see then..hopefully the stuff will go down a little, it's ridiculous how everything practically doubled...

Yeah, I think care packages are a great idea....but you know the DOC, they aren't going to be able to screw us out of more money, so there is no way they would let it happen. I say, if you can send care packages to military in Iraq then we should be able to do it for our loved ones right here in Florida.

Care packages would be nice, but you know DOC, they want to make money out of us...and I am sure if care packages were allowed, they would find a way to make money out of it somehow lol..But that's FL for you...at least if they food they fed them was sufficient it wouldn't be so bad, but it's not...
