My story......

Heres my story of why I am here and how I got here.Me and my fiance got into "the drug scene".The drugs totally changed him and he started hitting on me.He broke my nose among many other injuries.He had been up for over a week.He attacked me and he went to jail..I left him for 4 months..We got back together and he never once hit me again.( we were back together for 4 months before he got sentenced)He was back to the man that I first met and fell in love with.He got sentenced to five yrs for the attack on me..I have stood by him through it all and love him dearly.I know that at times I wasnt the person that he fell in love with either.We both let each other down in so many ways.Thats what drugs do to you.They turn you into a person that noone knows anymore.(hell i didnt even know myself anymore)My family asks me how in the world I can forgive him for hurting me.My answer to them??I know the person that he is when hes not on drugs.Hes not violent towards me.I am his life.I am his everything.Just as he is my life and my everything.I have to forgive him for letting me down because Im sure at times I let him down...During the time that he has been locked up he has been off of drugs and I myself have been clean for almost 2 years.....

I think it is wonderful you all got it back together..When you are on drugs your right you are a different person you and and him both..Loving him is the best part..Stay strong and away from the drugs and i feel everything will work out just fine..Congrats on you sobriety

congrats to you both cleaning yourselves up. I know it's not an easy thing to do. I hope you two manage to stay clean and have a happy life together. I know how much drugs can change a person and you two are fortunate to know who each other is without drugs. My guy told me once concerning our break up years ago "I left you because you would never leave me. I don't know how you always managed to see through everything to who I was inside". He was right, I never would have left him and I never did actually leave him. Who he was under all the hurt and the drug use was and is the most incredible man I have ever known. Make the best of your second chance. Not everyone is fortunate enough to get one.

Congrats on both of you getting clean and doing good for each other. Things will turn out okay. Everything happens for a reason and maybe him doing this is what made both of you get clean. It's a messed up way but look at the positive you both are clean and back in love.
